Our client is a leading international FMCG business, recognised for investing heavily in innovation, manufacturing excellence and sustainability. Due to continued investment across its UK operations, they are looking to appoint an experienced Procurement Category Manager to take ownership of a high-profile CapEx & Facilities category.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a market-leading organisation where procurement plays a strategic role in delivering major capital investment projects across the business.
Reporting into the Procurement leadership team, you’ll be responsible for developing and delivering procurement strategies across a diverse CapEx and Facilities portfolio, managing approximately £100 million of annual external spend.
Working closely with Engineering, Manufacturing and Senior Leadership teams, you’ll ensure procurement delivers commercial value while supporting major capital projects, production improvements and long-term business growth.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement category strategies for CapEx, engineering services and facilities spend.
Manage a complex procurement portfolio worth approximately £100m.
Lead end-to-end sourcing activities, negotiations and supplier selection.
Partner with engineering, manufacturing and senior stakeholders to influence specifications and procurement decisions.
Build and manage strategic supplier relationships, driving performance against KPIs and continuous improvement initiatives.
Deliver commercial savings, risk mitigation and long-term value creation.
Provide market intelligence, benchmarking and spend analysis to support strategic decision making.
Support major capital investment programmes, site developments and new product launches.
Ensure procurement governance, compliance and best practice across sourcing activities.
About You
We’re looking for someone who can combine strong commercial awareness with excellent stakeholder management skills.
You’ll ideally have:
Significant procurement experience within CapEx, Engineering, Technical or Industrial categories.
Experience managing high-value procurement projects and supplier negotiations.
Strong commercial and analytical skills with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
